MUSIC lovers are in for a treat from Fordingbridge Choral Society.
The society will be presenting Winter Baroque on Saturday, November 29, in St Mary’s Church.
Handel’s Dixit Dominus is being performed, with the orchestra conducted by Nigel Edwards.
The society believes this is the first time it has been performed in Fordingbridge.
This extraordinary work was written by the young Handel while he was living in Italy.
Also included in this Winter Baroque programme is the well-known and popular Gloria by Vivaldi, and a performance of Winter from The Four Seasons, with Peter Bussereau as soloist.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 in advance, £12 on the door , including an interval drink, and are available from Bassets Estate Agents, 31 High Street and Fordingbridge Bookshop in Salisbury Street. Alter-natively, visit fordingbridgechoral.ticketsource.co.uk or call 01425 655249.
