A COMICAL retelling of the classic fairytale The Snow Queen will be melting the hearts of audiences this Christmas.
The production runs from November 27 until January 4, at Southampton’s Nuffield Theatre.
The adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story has been adapted by award-winning comedy writer Georgia Pritchett, who has worked on The Thick of It, Veep and Miranda.
It features new songs and magical staging, and tells the story of the wicked Snow Queen’s attempt to kidnap a young boy named Kai in the frozen north, and his best friend Gerda’s quest to find him.
The production is directed by Sarah Tipple (Dirty Dancing: The Musical, West End and UK Tour) and features music composed by Dougal Irvine.
