YOUNG film-makers will be celebrated at a special screening at Salisbury Arts Centre.
The centre will showcase a double-bill of films made by local young people on Wednesday, December 10, at 6pm.
An Old Sarum Odyssey and The Day the Heath Stood Still are the results of outreach project work in Old Sarum and Salisbury’s Bemerton Heath neighbourhood.
The community projects have enabled the young people to develop film-making skills such as scriptwriting, acting and production techniques. They also had access to professional equipment and mentoring provided by the Arts Centre.
An Old Sarum Odyssey explores journeys, obstacles and adventures, giving the young people involved to share their thoughts about living in the area and contributing to their community.
The Day the Heath Stood Still focuses on the art centre’s season theme of artificial things and follows on from the success of The Heath: A Salisbury Odyssey, the first film project in the Bemerton Heath neighbourhood.
Entry is free, but tickets are required. For more information visit salisburyartscentre.co.uk or call 01722 321744.
