SALISBURY Arts Centre is preparing for its annual family winter celebration with the building set to be transformed into a winter wonderland this month.
Every year in December resident artists Hoodwink bring snow, dancing, snow, games and even more snow.
Stephanie Jalland, artistic director of Hoodwink, said: “Winter Wonderland is a fun winter celebratory party for families to enjoy together – an antidote to the seasonal commercialism – and even though it may be raining outside it snows at Salisbury Arts Centre! The Queen of Light has promised a visit again this year and it's hard to keep King Winter away.
“It isn't a show, it’s an experience as Hoodwink performers add a little magic and join in the fun.”
The Queen of Light will be returning this year and everyone is encouraged to bring a torch or a glow stick to help brighten this magical event.
Hoodwink are also inviting people to come along on the day on December 13, from 1pm-3pm, to get making in a free crafting session and help transform the arts centre into a magical winter wonderland by creating paper snowflakes to scatter around the building or make a snowy crown ready the evening’s celebrations.
Hoodwink’s Winter Wonderland takes place on Saturday, December 13, at 6pm.
Tickets are £7.50, £6.50 concessions or £24 for a family of 4 and can be booked online 24 hours a day at Salisburyartscentre.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01722 321744.
