THE story of Cinderella gets a witty re-working ready to entertain audiences in Salisbury. Krazy Kat Theatre’s production of Cinder-Ella hits the stage at Salisbury Art Centre on Sunday, December 21, at 11am and 2pm.

Join veteran performer Kinny Gardner for some imaginative silliness with inventive puppetry, an old pram and tunes from Rossini’s opera.

Krazy Kat Theatre was established by Kinny Gardner and Alastair S Macmillan, who have been creating work with fully integrated sign language for more than 30 years.

They develop work with both hearing and deaf audiences in mind.

Kinny Gardner said: “We use sign as the first language, looking at how the story needs to be told. Do we need to say anything, or is a visual effect enough?

“A moving picture, a shadow puppet scene, a mimed action can be just as potent as any spoken or signed dialogue. We are essentially a visual theatre that fuses comedy and languages to create accessible and witty experiences for young audiences.”

Tickets are £7.50, £6.50 concessions or £24 for a family of four and can be booked online at salisburyartscentre.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01722 321744.
