ARTISTS are being sought for a £5,000 Healthwatch Wiltshire project called “This is me”.

Healthwatch Wiltshire (HWW) was successful in winning grant funding from the Wiltshire Innovation Fund for the project, which will focus on reflecting the experience of elderly service users and their unpaid carers who are consumers of both health and social care services.

HWW is working with Wiltshire and Swindon Users’ Network to commission an artist, a collaboration of artists or an arts organisation to deliver a creative project with service users.

The aim of the project is to produce an arts project that is innovative and transformative – that can be showcased to commissioners of health and social care locally and nationally, to help them better understand the experiences of older adults using health and social care services and their unpaid carers, and to challenge the commissioners to think about how they can do things differently.

Applications will be assessed by a panel of service users and lay people, so people need to describe in plain and clear English what they propose to do.

The budget for this commission is £5,000 and the timescale for the project is a maximum of six months from commissioning.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, January 25.
