THE period instrument ensemble Salisbury Baroque will join forces with Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir for a programme of choral and orchestral works in the Italianate Church at Wilton on Sunday at 6pm.

This early evening event features works by JS Bach, Handel, and the lesser known but highly respected Zelenka, Czech composer and friend of both Bach and Telemann.

Salisbury Baroque was established in 2010 and uses copies of instruments from the period and authentic playing styles which are harder to achieve with larger more modern instruments.

The Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir was originally formed in 1972 and has appeared at St Martin in the Fields, London, and toured Italy, Austria and Hungary as well as historic churches and cathedrals across the south.

They have also featured on The Choir and Breakfast on 3 on Radio 3 and Classic FM at Christmas.

Tickets are available on the door and in advance from the Music Room, 5 Catherine Street or by telephoning 01722 328181.
