A BUSY Altar Club crowd made it in early doors to catch Head Back Holler’s first ever performance.

Many of the audience commented on the superb vocal talents of frontman Simon Maher as the blues act impressed on debut. Next up were I’m Designer, who included a lot of new material in their set, which points towards a new style of sound.

God Only Knows displays a much more mellow sound but still has some of the raw bite we know them for.

Young Astronaut took the Altar End to complete a short run of tour dates with an impressive showing mid-bill before Stone Donkey Pilots returned to the Altar Club.

The Donkeys have a loyal following, who weren’t disappointed. Newcombe and Roach headed the support bill with a stellar performance of punk, much to the delight of their adoring fans.

The night saw SN Dubstation close proceedings as the Saturday crowd danced away to their reggae/ska groove. A high standard of performance accross the bill, well done to the departing Robb Blake.
