ALL-male dance company ZoieLogic returns to Salisbury Arts Centre tonight, with a daring dance theatre performance set against the imagined backdrop of the iconic Empire State Building.
Safe pushes five male dancers to their limits as they explore the bravery of the construction workers who made the Empire State Building a ground-breaking first.
Lose yourself in a world of camaraderie, brotherhood and determination as these outstanding performances tackle the job of a lifetime.
Safe is performed on a specially designed set of steel, aluminium and wood; the dancers perform on and around the set which develops as the show progresses.
Company founder and artistic director Zoie Golding was inspired to make the piece after visiting the Empire State Building and wondering what it must have felt like being hundreds of feet up in the air, exposed to the elements, working closely with other men and striving to build each layer on time, on budget and, above all, safely.
With original music and an edge of danger, ZoieLogic will deliver a performance alive with hope and ambition.
Catch a curtain raiser performance from resident youth dance company Jigsaw prior to the performance, and stick around afterwards to ask the company all the burning questions that you may have in a post-show chat.
Tickets are £12 or £10 concessions at salisburyartscentre.co.uk or on 01722 321744.
