EVER wanted to try singing in choir but never quite had the nerve? Then here is some good news.

The New Sarum Singers, a Salisbury-based choir who perform three times each year to raise money for charity, are offering a rare chance for a free choral workshop for any adult who is interested in taking up singing as a hobby.

Novices and those who would like to try singing publicly for first time will be most welcome, as will more experienced singers.

The work being sung is Vivaldi’s Gloria, which may sound daunting to anyone new to this kind of music but people will soon discover how easy it is to join in and have fun singing along with the other members of the choir.

The New Sarum Singers’ choir leader and musical director Teresa Bond will be on hand to help those who do not have musical training and the whole experience is sure to be uplifting and enjoyable. The New Sarum Singers’ aim is to give our local community the chance to discover the fun and joy of singing in a choir.

The event takes place on Monday, April 13 at 7.30 pm in the church hall at Bemerton Methodist Church in Roman Road. There is plenty of free parking. Anyone interested can just come along and join in.
