BEATBOX star Shlomo took to the stage at Sarum Academy this week ahead of his planned appearance at the Ageas Salisbury Arts Festival in June.
In the past, Shlomo has performed at venues such as Glastonbury, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has worked alongside artists such as Ed Sheeran and Bjork.
But at Sarum Academy this week the audience were pupils and staff, and his co-artists were the Year 10 music group.
The Academy, one of the festival’s partner schools, will be welcoming the artist back for another two sessions with the music pupils when they will write and present a performance piece together.
Ryan Shakespeare, a Year 10 pupil who took part in Shlomo’s workshop said: "I’ve really enjoyed it and it’s so intriguing the different sounds he can make with his voice."
