SATURDAY mornings are made for children to explore their creative side and The Lights in Andover offers a couple of regular classes each Saturday for children over eight years old.
Popular tutor Lauren Mildenberger runs the regular Dance Zone, a funky session which covers everything from street dance to jazz, salsa and some musical theatre too.
No previous experience is necessary, the young people come along to have fun, make new friends and be creative.
The Ignite Youth Theatre group has been operating since the venue opened back in 2006.
The group practice a whole raft of creative drama skills each Saturday and usually work towards a production each term. Each week tutor Tabitha takes the group through exercises, theatre games, role play and stagecraft ensuring lots of creative opportunities. The main requirement to join this group is pure enthusiasm.
The Lights is currently offering a free taster session for both these groups on Saturday, April 25 – the perfect opportunity to see what the classes are all about before joining the ten-week course.
