THE Magna Carta Musical: Song of a New Age is coming to Salisbury in June celebrating the 800th anniversary.

It was one of the most momentous events in history that shaped our future and the destiny of millions. It heralded a new age.

In England’s darkest times of treachery and blood lust, one man led the powerful struggle against the deceit and excess of the wicked King John to give a voice to the people.That man was Stephen Langton.

The Magna Carta Musical: Song of the New Age tells the "thrilling" story of this extraordinary man, the girl he loved and his fight to bring freedom for the people by persuading the reckless King John to seal our Great Charter of Freedoms.

The Magna Carta Musical: Song of a New Age will be staged at St Thomas Church, Salisbury on Saturday, June 20th at 7.30pm.

Written by Martin Coslett and Ross Clark and directed by Andrew Miller with musical direction by Nick Barstow, it is based on the Victorian novel, Stephan Langton by Martin Tupper,
