THE sixth Plain Arts Paint Off event is taking place in the Guildhall Square on Saturday, September 12 from 10am to 4pm.
All are welcome to join in and have a bit of fun with paints, sculpture, photography and mixed media.
This year the event is being organised with Salisbury Museum, which is promoting the work of JMW Turner.
The museum will be providing spot prizes to those under 16 whose painting best reflects the concepts that Turner used throughout his work.
There will be performance, poetry, music and you can grab a canvas and paints or bring your own materials.
There is also a chance to sell finished work at an auction taking place at Salisbury Museum on Tuesday, September 15.
Tickets are £10 adults and £5 for 16s and under. There is a discount for Plain Arts and Salisbury Museum members.
Last year the Paint Off event took place at The Cathedral Cloisters and it has previously been held at The Old Ale House and Salisbury Arts Centre.
People can turn up on the day or book in advance by visiting Salisbury Arts Centre or e-mailing info@plainartssalisbury.co.uk Plain Arts Salisbury is the visual arts network for the city and the surrounding area.
