A SELECTION of Salisbury's best known bands will be playing at the Chapel nightclub on Saturday for the annual Rose Gale Trust (RGT) fundraiser.
The Zucchinis, Hamlet Peter Reggae Experience, Odstocks and Lump will be headlining the event which starts at 7pm.
The Rose Gale Trust was set up with the intention of helping young Wiltshire people between the ages of 14 and 25 with financing projects and or business ventures via the allocation of RGT grants.
Organisers hope the event will not raise funds for the RGT but also showcase what the Rose Gail Trust does for young people and to develop community relationships with charities.
The RGT was launched in September 2009 in memory of Rose Gale who was instrumental in setting up Bass Connection in 1999 at ‘Grosvenor House. A series of rehearsal rooms and recording facilities were built by young volunteers at the house allowing young people to form bands, obtain DJing skills, build confidence and get involved in the arts.
Rose’s legacy is now being continued by The Sound Emporium under the banner of ‘Hendrix House’.
It is free entry and doors open at 6.30pm.
