SALISBURY Sinfonia will bid farewell to their musical director Tim Murray after 13 years of making music together.
Murray will conduct his final programme with the orchestra at a concert on Saturday, 7.30pm, at St Thomas’ Church, Salisbury.
The programme of music will feature Haydn’s popular Cello Concerto in C, only rediscovered in 1961.
Soloist for the concerto will be young local cellist Lorna Davis.
The concerto takes centre stage with two of Brahms’ masterpieces.
In the second half of the concert audiences will be able to enjoy the Fourth Symphony.
Tickets are available in advance, £10 adults, accompanied children free, from Salisbury Information Centre, Fish Row. Alternatively they can be bought at the door, £12 adults, accompanied children free.
