GENESIS fans are in for a treat and can spend an evening listening to the band's classic hits.

Genesis Visible Touch are performing at Salisbury Arts Centre on Saturday (May 14) in support of The Transformation Project

The Transformation Project is a new initiative combining the specialist skills and experience of two of Salisbury’s premier charities – The Trussell Trust (TT) and Salisbury Trust for the Homeless (STFH).

It aims to help local people in crisis, particularly those who are homeless and suffering food poverty; and realise the recently started program of STFH rooms refurbishment and TT’s support package Eat Well, Spend Less.

Audiences can enjoy classic hits including Follow You Follow Me, In The Cage, Land of Confusion and many more.

Hardcore Genesis enthusiasts and casual listeners alike will find plenty to enjoy in this varied programme of some of the most loved music from the band over the last few decades.

Latest figures published by The Trussell Trust show that foodbank use remains at record levels, rising two percent on last year. 1,109,309 three day emergency food supplies were provided to people in crisis by the charity’s network of 424 foodbanks in the 2015/16 financial year, compared to 1,084,604 in 2014/15.

Of this number, 415,866 went to children. This is a measure of volume rather than unique users, and on average, people needed two foodbank referrals in the last year.

Tickets for Genesis Visible Touch cost £15 and are available from Salisbury Arts Centre on 01722 321744 or online at salisburyartscentre.co.uk
