SINGER-songwriter Reg Meuross and songstress Jess Vincent will team up to perform together at the June 10 Sixpenny Session at Sixpenny Handley Village Hall.

After ten album releases Meuross has returned to the solo format which first inspired him to write and sing.  Penny Mansergh from Sixpenny Sessions said: “Reg will be showcasing songs from his heartbreakingly beautiful new album ‘December’, in which he comments on life as he sees it via the most disarmingly alluring songs.

"With his captivating tenor voice, he weaves the melodies around his sharp incisive lyrics.

"Quite simply he is an exceptional teller of tales set to great tunes and all delivered in a spell-binding voice. We are thrilled that he has agreed to come to Sixpenny Handley.

“Jess will be bringing us songs from her album ‘Shine’ as well as some favourites from her back catalogue. With her trademark subtle arrangements on guitar, baritone ukulele, shruti box and harmonium Jess reveals a maturity that belies her years, yet allows her vulnerability to shine through. Reg has produced all three of Jess’s stunning albums, and the pair will accompany each other as well as playing solo.”

Tickets cost £10 in advance or £12 on the door and are available from Styles Mini Market in High Street, Sixpenny Handley or via eventbrite.co.uk (plus an online booking fee).

All profits from the gig will go to the Sixpenny Handley Village Hall ‘Raise The Curtain Appeal’ which will restore and refurbish the hall’s stage and PA equipment.

Doors open at 7.30pm with music from 8pm.
