FRESH from her appearance at the Glastonbury Festival last month, local singer Emma Ballantine returns to Salisbury.

She will be appearing at Salisbury Arts Centre on Saturday to perform the latest Live Lunch concert.

This time, audiences can leave their wellies at home and sit back and enjoy some lunch in the arts centre’s café while listening to Emma’s music which blends folk, jazz and classical influences to create songs in an eclectic and lyrical style.

Tipped by Glamour Magazine as One to Watch in 2016 and featured by Q Magazine as Track of the Day, Emma Ballantine is rapidly gaining recognition for powerful songwriting. Her music has been played on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing, and her latest EP, Tourist, reached number 15 in the iTunes Alternative chart.

Originally from Salisbury, Emma is now based in London and has headlined venues including The Bedford, The Troubadour and Hard Rock Cafe as well as completing four UK tours and two to Germany in the past 18 months.

Live lunches at Salisbury Arts Centre run from 12 noon to 2pm and are free to attend.
