JIM Chorley, an acoustic folk singer-songwriter, will be performing at Salisbury Arts Centre on Saturday, August 6, from noon to 2pm at a live lunch.

Originally from Southampton, he now lives in Winchester, and his songs tell stories of romantic meetings on the cobbled streets of a midnight city and the magical, mystical, mysteries of love and nature. He tells of wild woods, Welshman’s daughters and sing along sea shanties on the high rolling seas.

One of his most beloved songs, ‘Painting Circles in the Corn’, is a paean to his late father, Dave Chorley, and his adventures making ‘Crop Circles’ in the Hampshire countryside.

Along with Doug Bower, they were the originators of the crop circle art form in the late 1970’s early 1980’s.

Live lunches are free, come along and enjoy some lunch between noon and 2pm in Salisbury Arts Centre café and listen to Jim’s distinctive music. Visit salisburyartscentre.co.uk
