PUT on your dancing shoes and strut your stuff in the Market Square in Salisbury.

On Friday, September 2 all ages and abilities will have the chance to watch a variety of dance performances and participate in informal workshops and maybe learning some new moves along the way.

From 5pm to 8pm Chance to Dance will take place in Salisbury’s Market Square.

The event is sponsored by Salisbury BID in partnership with Salisbury Arts Centre.

Putting on three performances during the evening will be The Lock In, giving a taster of the show they are performing at Salisbury Arts Centre on Saturday, November 19.

Their show brings some of the UK’s oldest forms of dance bang up to date as they collide with some of the youngest in a medley of clog, rapper, sword and breakdance.

The Lock In dancers will also run free public participation workshops during the evening for clog, breakdance and rapper.

The young dancers of Forest School of Dance will perform two of their routines, followed by DANCE SIX-O who will entertain audiences with some of the dances they have been practising together.

Mulepackers Country & Western Dance Club will give us a display of their western dances and audiences can join in the free workshops.

Desert Divas from Frome and Midsomer Norton will help bring the evening to a close with their take on Bollywood Bling.

Chance to Dance takes place from 5pm to 8pm.

Entry is free and all are welcome to join in.
