A HUNDRED young ballet dancers are needed for a professional performance.

English Youth Ballet (EYB) is holding an auditions for roles in a double bill of ballet on November 8 at Salisbury City Hall.

At the audition 100 young male and female dancers, aged 8– 18, from across the region will be offered the chance to rehearse with and then dance alongside professional dancers in the production for three performances which will be at City Hall on April 21-22.

The Double Bill includes Nutcracker Suite and Ballet Études.

EYB Director Janet Lewis said: “The EYB audition is an experience in itself. EYB is all about performance experience and this starts at the audition as the dancers are given a regular ballet class on the stage. Parents and family are encouraged to watch from the audience. We are looking for young dancers of all abilities who can show the audience how much they enjoy their dancing."

Those wishing to take part in the audition are advised to register. The fee is £15.

The audition for dancers aged 8-11 is 4.30pm-6.15pm followed by one for those 12-18 from 6.45pm-8.30pm.
