CONDUCTOR James Levine and baritone Plácido Domingo join forces for their 329th performance together since their Met opera partnership started to star in Verdi’s Nabucco.

The story is based on the life of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar, who conquered Jerusalem and tells of religious wars and forbidden love.

Liudmyla Monastyrska is Abigaille, the warrior woman determined to rule empires and Jamie Barton is the heroic Fenena.

Dmitri Belosselskiy is the stentorian voice of the oppressed Hebrew people.

Verdi’s Nabucco is screened live in HD from the Met at Salisbury Arts Centre at 5.55pm on Saturday, January 7. Doors open 5.10pm.

National Theatre Live comes to the arts centre with a screening of No Man’s Land. Following their hit run on Broadway, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart return to the West End stage in Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land, broadcast to Salisbury Arts Centre from Wyndham’s Theatre, London on Thursday, January 12, 1pm.

Award-winning Spanish film, Julieta, is being screened on Thursday, January 5, 7.30pm. The intriguing mystery spans decades in the life of a Madrid school teacher.
