A SALISBURY artist is calling for help from the community to help explore the role of the dresser as a place to store memories.

Mirka Golden-Hann, who is resident artist at Salisbury Arts Centre, is working on a new exhibition titled Memories.

To create the exhibition she is seeking as many people as possible to participate by emailing her pictures of the dressers from their homes or from the homes of family and friends.

Once the pieces are collected, the Memories exhibition will be on display at the arts centre from Wednesday to February 25.

It is free to view, and open from 10am to 3pm from Tuesday to Saturday each week.

In this piece Mirka wants to investigate personal memories through the actual objects people own and cherish and the way they are displayed within an iconic piece of furniture.

If you have a story to share about your dresser, where it came from or favourite piece, email mirka@salisburyarts.co.uk or call 01722 343020.
