NEW at Salisbury Arts Centre this season are screenings of National Theatre Live and National Theatre Encore performances.

Following their hit run treading the boards of Broadway, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart return to the West End stage in Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land, broadcast to Salisbury from Wyndham’s Theatre in London on Thursday, January 12.

On one summer’s evening, a pair of ageing writers – Hirst and Spooner – meet in a Hampstead pub and continue their drinking into the night at Hirst’s stately house nearby.

As the duo become increasingly inebriated, and their stories increasingly unbelievable, the lively conversation soon turns into a revealing power game, further complicated by the return home of two sinister younger men.

The production also stars Owen Teale and Damien Molony.

No Man’s Land is screened at Salisbury Arts Centre at 1pm, doors and bar open at 12.45pm.

Tickets are £16 and £14 for concessions, and available by calling the arts centre box office on 01722 321744 or going online at salisburyartscentre.co.uk.
