AWARD-WINNING Spanish film Julieta is being screened tonight (Thursday, January 5) at Salisbury Arts Centre.

The story spans decades in the life of a Madrid school teacher.

A chance encounter with a friend prompts a major change of plan for Julieta, and through flash backs and an epic confessional letter, we gradually piece together a life of grief and guilt.

Directed by Pedro Almodóvar, the film is in Spanish with English subtitles, and is suitable for audiences aged 15 and above.

Pedro Amoldóvar won the Best Director award at the International Cinephile Society Awards in 2016 for this film, which also won Top Foreign Film at the National Board of Review and Best International Film at the San Diego Film festival, in addition to being nominated for 18 other awards.

Julieta is screened at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8, available from Salisbury Arts Centre box office on 01722 321744 or online at salisburyartscentre.co.uk.
