SALISBURY Sinfonia will be joined by a brother and sister team at their concert on Saturday.
Guest conductor will be Sam Poppleton. Also taking the spotlight as a soloist for Mozart’s 3rd Violin Concerto will be his sister Alice.
This is the second concert of the orchestra’s 2016-2017 season, and focuses on the genius of Mozart in his incomparable masterpiece that is the Jupiter Symphony, and his joyful Violin Concerto No. 3.
The concert opens with the melodic, sonorous sound of thirteen wind instruments in Strauss’s lyrical Wind Serenade.
It takes place at 7.30pm at St Thomas’s Church, Salisbury.
Tickets are available in advance, £10 adults, accompanied children free, from Salisbury Information Centre, Fish Row.
Alternatively, tickets can be purchased at the door.
