STREET performers filled the city to entertain visitors with dance, theatre and circus.

The free entertainment was part of Salisbury International Arts Festival's City Encounters programme, which ran throughout the day on Sunday and Tuesday.

The performances took place in the Guildhall Square and Market Place as well as other locations around the city.

Bootworks Theatre's latest act Juke Boxes took audiences on a musical journey with some well-known characters.

There were also some weird and wonderful sights across the city which included a ramshackle old cottage on chicken legs roaming down the street. This was part of Dizzy O'Dare's Slavic fairytale-inspired performance of Baba Yaga's House.

The festival's Play Day also returned offering a free afternoon of activities for children and young people on Monday.

Salisbury International Arts Festival continues until June 10.
