HISTORIC fighting machines will be among the items on display at two First World War experience days at Salisbury Cathedral tomorrow and Saturday.
A Bristol Scout aircraft and a replica Mk 2 tank will be on show, alongside a trench system, communications equipment and much more.
The display is a joint venture between Wiltshire Branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity, the Cathedral, the Royal Signals Museum, the Royal Artillery and Breaking Ground Heritage.
The event marks the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele. A Passchendaele Evensong which will take place in the cathedral on Friday from 5.30pm.
Attendance is free but donations to SSAFA Wiltshire Branch are encouraged.
