THE forthcoming production at Studio Theatre in Salisbury is An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde.
The witty comedy tells the tale of a prospective cabinet minister, Sir Robert Chiltern, who plans to expose a fraudulent scheme during a parliamentary sitting. However, the mysterious Mrs Cheveley arrives in Mayfair society and blackmails him into supporting the venture under threat of exposing his past sale of government secrets to a foreigner.
Directed by Jill Redston, the play runs at the Ashley Road theatre from October 16-21 at 7.30pm each evening.
Tickets (£10-£8 concessions under 16) are available from Salisbury Information Centre, Fish Row, or by calling 01722 342860.
