SALISBURY Playhouse has a range of family productions for all ages during the October half term.

Great Odds is an adventure tale for children aged six and older that will be performed on Wednesday, October 25 at 2pm and Thursday 26 at 11am. The performance on Thursday is followed by a puppet workshop where children can get hands on and discover their inner puppeteers.

On Friday, October 27, Blown Away will be performed for children aged 3+. It follows Penguin Blue and friends on an Antarctic adventure and features spectacular circus, magical puppetry and catchy songs. There are two performances at 12pm and 2pm.

Also on Friday, October 27 is a day of spoken word workshops at Bemerton Heath Community Centre with UK Slam Champion and third ranked slam poet in the world, Sara Hirsch. She performs in the evening when there will also be a chance for participants in the day’s workshops to bring their stories to the stage.

On Saturday, October 21 Goblin Theatre are presenting the classic tale Peter and the Wolf. There are two performances at 11am and 2pm.

And on Monday, October 23 and Tuesday 24, Salisbury Playhouse will host a Play in a Day, when children can spend the day working with theatre professionals to create a show that is performed to family and friends in the afternoon. Monday is for children aged 5 to 7 and Tuesday is for those aged 8 to 11.
