SPEND an evening with renowned wildlife photographer David Bailey at Avonway Community Centre in Fordingbridge.

David Bailey was born in the New Forest and went to the primary school originally housed in the Avonway building. He now lives in Wales and travels extensively throughout the UK photographing wildlife.

In 2016 he was awarded a Brand Laureate International Personality Award for being a world leader in his field. His work is featured in the BBC Wildlife magazine and he has published a book, Wildlife Wanderer, which has received excellent reviews.He has also worked on BBC 1’s Rhys Jones’ Wild Life Patrol Series, behind - and sometimes in front of - the camera and has been seen on Springwatch.

He previously gave a talk at Avonway Community Centre where he spoke about the trials, tribulations and rewards of being a wildlife photographer. He also gave the audience tips on how to photograph wildlife.

Copies of David’s book and his wildlife photographs will be on sale on the night and there will be a raffle.

Proceeds from the evening will go to support the Fordingbridge Day Centre which David’s mother much enjoyed attending when she was alive.
