YOUNGSTERS and adults alike can get creative at Salisbury Arts Centre.

The arts centre is running a number of workshops which start in the new year.

All levels and abilities can take part in a five week course on felting with Suzie Gutteridge, which runs from January 8 - March 19.

Suzie Gutteridge, the course instructor, said: β€œIn each session, I encourage people to follow techniques demonstrated in a simple and straightforward way, helping them to develop work with their own creative flair. I will support them through a range of techniques and processes, for example, experiencing the intrigue of creating a 3D piece from the initial laying out of layers of wool fibres, and the tactile and manipulative properties of differing wools.”

For budding playwrights join Angela Street for Writing for Stage. The ten-week course runs from January10 to March 21.

And for teenagers aged 13 to 19 there is Filmmakers Anonymous with Simon Davison where youngsters can learn to produce finished films from storyboarding to post-production as well as work behind the camera, act in a film or help out on set. The course runs from January 11 to March 22.

And CREATE - After school art workshop with Charlotte Moreton - is for ages 12 and older and gives participants opportunities to try a variety of 2D and 3D art techniques. The workshops run from January 11 to March 22.

There are also dance and portrait sculpture workshops.
