COME and sing the Requiem by Mozart with Fordingbridge Choral Society on Saturday.
Open to all voices and abilities, the afternoon is led by the society’s musical director Nigel Edwards.
A former chorister of St Paul’s Cathedral, Nigel has worked and performed with a long list of legendary singers and conductors since the 1970’s, including Carlo Maria Giulini, Sir Adrian Boult, Andre Previn, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Simon Rattle, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, the Three Tenors, and the choral conductors Sir David Willcocks and Stephen Cleobury of Kings College Cambridge, to name but a few.
Nigel will bring his vast experience to focus on the Requiem and provide an opportunity for everyone - whether revisiting the work or approaching it for the first time – to enjoy an afternoon singing.
The Come and Sing event takes place at the United Reformed Church, Salisbury Street, Fordingbridge from 2.30pm to 6pm. It costs £10, with refreshments and vocal score provided. For details go to fordingbridgechoral.co.uk or contact the society’s secretary on 07900 608961 or 01425 540616.
