A NEW exhibition inspired by art, music and archaeology comes to Salisbury Museum this month.

Brian Graham: Towards Music will open on January 27 and run until May 12.

This major exhibition of the work of artist Brian Graham, represents his unique imaginings of the evolution of music and dance.

Brian’s research took him beyond art, into the fields of archaeology and anthropology and have resulted in a series of 40 works.

There is a programme of supporting events including a private view illustrated talk by Brian on February and for families there will be a February 1 half term discovery day music workshop on February 13 with Kaya Drums called Journeys Through Sound.

And in March there will be performance by the Zeitgeist Chamber Orchestra (March 16), a talk by Professor Clive Gamble on Art in the Landscape of the Ice Age Mind (March 20) and a harp recital by Stephanie Liney (March 24).

The museum is also offering the chance to win a series of works by Brian in an Art Draw.
