SALISBURY Live 2018 is promising to be the “biggest and best yet”.

It takes place over four weekends in May with two special events on Friday, June 1.

Colin Holton, who is co-ordinating the event, said: “With the iconic Salisbury International Arts Festival taking a break this year, Salisbury Live 2018 promises to be the biggest and best yet.”

The main Salisbury Live programme will see the city’s pubs, bars and clubs host a variety of live music offerings.

There will also be standalone events at Salisbury Arts Centre, Salisbury Rugby Club, Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club, Live in the Square Part One, Salisbury Live goes Rural at Alderbury Sports and Social Club and Live @ the Farm at River Bourne Community Farm which is being headlined by Queen tribute act, Queen B.

Colin said: “Once again the musical program is an eclectic mix of genres, styles, original and cover acts.”

This year’s Salisbury Live is being supported by the Salisbury Journal.

Salisbury Live 2018 programmes are available from shops, businesses and venues in and around the city.

Salisbury Live 2018 runs from May 4 until June 1 offering up free live music over five weekends with nearly 100 acts performing in 20 venues across the city.

n On Good Friday the third and final Salisbury Live 2018 fundraiser is being held at Salisbury Rugby Club.

It features music from Just Because, The Funk Bunnies, Break Cover, the Passenger Club and Barely Legal.

Doors open at 5.30pm with the music starting from 6.30pm.
