FANS of Pink Floyd have come together to pay homage to the rock band.

All Floyd will be performing their first showcase gig at Salisbury Arts Centre on Tuesday, May 3.

The tribute band was formed in November 2016 and is made up of Pete Leyland, Barry Stevens, Jon Stone, Neil Dalziel and Dave Walker with backing vocalists Natalie Roseblade and Harry Fisher, and sax player Laurie Finch.

Dave Walker says: “Myself and keyboard player Barry are both long standing Pink Floyd fans and often discussed attempting Pink Floyd material, mainly for our own enjoyment.

“About 18 months ago we finally got together and were so impressed by the result we teamed up with Pete on bass and all decided to devote significant energy and time to form the band.

“Our love of the music, technical knowledge and attention to detail coincided perfectly with the demands of achieving the exceptional sound design, quality and emotion of Pink Floyd.”

The band have been working hard for over a year ready to take the act on the road.

Dave says: “We are all very excited and admittedly a little nervous about finally taking the band on the road. It’s taken a huge amount of effort and dedication to get to this point which we hope and believe will be appreciated by our audiences.”

On what audiences can expect from the showcase, he adds: “We’ll be playing a variety of Pink Floyd tracks from their albums including their most successful album The Dark Side of the Moon which is celebrating it’s 45th anniversary this year.”

n All Floyd will also be headlining the Firsdown Music Festival in August

Dave says: “We are really proud to be given the opportunity to support Firsfest which is a fantastic local free event that is growing every year. There is always a large variety of musical genres and All Floyd should dovetail nicely amongst the eclectic musical tastes of the festival.”
