THE Community are invited to get involved with a new music festival heading to the city later this autumn.

Oxjam is the UK’s largest grassroots music festival and is entirely volunteer led, raising money on behalf of Oxfam UK to fight poverty and inequality across the globe.

In October, Salisbury will be one of about 40 cities across the UK.

It is the first time the event has been held in the city since 2010.

Festival manager Torin Johansen said: “It is a multi-venue festival in a day. We are planning to take over the city and have a range if music to cater for all for generations and genres.

“We want this to be a festival by Salisbury and for Salisbury, let us know the events you’d like to see.”

The event organisers are looking for volunteers to get involved with different aspects of the event from stewarding to photography.

Oxjam Salisbury is also looking to partner with local venues, businesses and local performers.

Laura will be launching her new EP at the event.
