LUNCHTIME recitals are being held in St Thomas’s Church in Salisbury throughout August.

On Saturday, Richard Cook, organ scholar at Salisbury Cathedral, will give the recital. Other recitals will be given by David Power, organist at St Thomas’s Church, Tim Hone, head of music and liturgy at Salisbury Cathedral and St Martin’s Church and Dr Richard Godfrey, organ consultant to Salisbury Diocese, among others.

The recital on Tuesday August 10 is rather special. It will be given by David Power and is in aid of cystic fibrosis research and, in particular, in memory of Milly Douglas Pennant who had been a chorister at Tisbury parish church when David was organist there.

All recitals are free with a retiring collection in aid of different charities and start at 12.15pm, lasting 45 minutes.

Full details of all the recitals are available on the flyer in the church.
