VERONICA Stewart, who died in April, was a passionate supporter of the arts in the Salisbury area. Keen to keep this passion alive, her family has set up an arts trust in her memory dedicated to helping a young person further his or her career in the arts world.
The Veronica Stewart Arts Trust is being launched on Saturday, February 4 at Trafalgar Park with a concert given by musicians from La Folia (Priya Mitchell on violin, Matthew Barley on cello and Howard Moody on piano) and a reception.
It is hoped to award an annual financial prize to a young artist whose contribution in his or her chosen field is considered of appropriate merit or potential.
