FANS of the underground music genre Hardcore are in for a treat tomorrow night as Salisbury’s Chapel Nightclub welcomes special guest DJ Joey Riot back to its DJ pulpit.
This is a bit of a coup for Salisbury as at the 2011 Hardcore heaven Awards, Joey Riot was voted No. 1 Hard Techno DJ for the second year running. But tomorrow night is no ordinary event. It has been organised in memory of teenager Kieran McMenamin, who died in November.
After his funeral, friends and family wanted to celebrate Kieran’s life with the music he loved.
Joey Riot was Kieran’s favourite DJ and has agreed to play for a reduced fee.
Supporting DJs and MCs are all offering their services free for the evening making this event a fundraiser for a memorial bench in Wilton.
The memorial rave at The Chapel in Milford Street starts at 8pm and ends at 11pm. Advance tickets are £6 from Tredz Shoe Shop in Butcher Row.
