Young music fan enjoys Arts Centre's Robb at lunchtime

SALISBURY Arts Centre’s live lunch season continued on Saturday with a performance from the centre’s own Robb Blake. Robb is normally busy behind the scenes as the centre’s operations manager, and sometimes comes out to play electric guitar very loudly. On Saturday, he was in more restrained mood and played a selection of self-penned acoustic songs, from his former band Whitmore and a few covers.

Live Lunch offers a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy the music. There is no admission charge and with the cafe and bar open, many people just drop in and out. Some younger members of the audience were very enthusiastic about Robb’s songs, dancing between the tables and every time he stopped playing, a two year old voice loudly demanded – “more music”.

* The next Live Lunch is on Saturday, March 3 when singer, songwriter and storyteller Nicky Swann will be performing.
