Bolshoi Ballet's Raymonda
BALLET from the Bolshoi will be beamed in live by satellite to the big screen at the Regent Centre in Christchurch next Sunday, June 24 at 4pm. Raymonda is Alexander Glazunov’s great creation telling the story of the niece of a French Countess who is engaged to her gallant knight, Jean de Brienne.
However, he must leave to support King Andrei at the crusades. In his absence, another suitor makes his play for the lovely Raymonda. Will her white knight return in time to save her?
