Molls. Macbeth and Mary Poppins

MURDERING molls, a Cockney kneesup and a flying nanny will provide plenty to entertain at this year’s charity carnival concert being staged by Tisbury Arts Group.

The concert will start with Cell Block Tango. Based on the super-sultry scene from Chicago, this time it’s the turn of Shakespeare’s women to wreak their revenge on their menfolk – Cleopatra, Lady Macbeth and Desdemona feature.

Continuing with the Shakespearean theme, it’s quiz night in the Queen Mab pub. Landlady Macbeth has brought in a student from Denmark, Hamlet, as quiz-master, but nothing goes quite to plan.

And finally the group will present the reduced Mary Poppins at Victoria Hall in Tisbury on Tuesday, September 18 at 7.30pm. Tickets £5.
