TWO young singers from Salisbury are celebrating after making it through to the regional finals of the Open Mic UK 2012 competition.
Senan Richmond, 12, and 14-year-old Natasha White saw off competition from thousands of hopefuls and will now be performing before huge audiences at the live stages of the competition in Fareham on October 7.
Senan, who trains at Salisbury Stagecoach, is a pupil at Leehurst Swan School through a music scholarship.
“I have been singing since I was nine and I love performing in front of a live audience,” he said.
“I’m really excited about the final show.”
Natasha, who is a pupil at South Wilts Grammar School, said: “I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m nervous about everything but excited because it’s an amazing opportunity.”
The youngsters are now in the running to compete for a place in the competition’s national final at the O2 Arena in London.
