ROCK and musical fans are in for a treat next month when a rock legend and a West End star will be joining forces for a special show in Salisbury.
Queen guitarist Brian May and Kerry Ellis, who recently played Elphaba in Wicked both in the West End and on Broadway, will be bringing their acoustic by candlelight show to Salisbury City Hall on November 17.
Phill Smith, general manager, said: āIām delighted that Salisbury has been chosen as one of only a few dates outside of London for this special show by a true member of rock royalty.ā
The pair previously worked together on a collaboration album Wicked in Rock and have also recorded a new version of the track Born Free alongside a documentary they have filmed highlighting the charity work of conservation and animal rescue organisation, the Born Free Foundation.
They will be performing new arrangements of songs May has specifically chosen to be sung by Ellis as he accompanies her on guitar and vocals.
Tickets went on sale on Friday and are expected to sell quickly. To book call the ticket office on 01722 434434 or go to cityhallsalisbury.co.uk.
