A PHOTO exhibition celebrating the village of Bishopstone in the Diamond Jubilee year will be held this weekend.
The community has come together to create a historic record of their village, and the fruits of their labour will be on display at the village hall on Saturday and Sunday.
The project was the idea of resident Anne Stutchbury, who asked for any photographers who could take pictures of the houses and their occupants in Bishopstone and the hamlet of Stratford Tony to come forward.
She got 16 volunteers, and about 200 pictures have been taken, which will be on display from noon until 5pm both days.
“There is a huge variety of images – some houses decorated with jubilee bunting, some people in their work clothes, some with pets included,” she said. Entry is free.
