SAINTS are the theme of a month-long exhibition running at Salisbury Cathedral.

The Pillars of Faith exhibition includes more than 20 pieces of contemporary religious art by Greg Tricker, ranging from wood and stone sculptures to stained glass and paintings.

And on show for the first time will be eight pieces on Joan of Arc, the centrepiece in the nave being a three-metre high beechwood sculpture of the saint.

Exhibition curator Jacquiline Creswell said: “Greg Tricker’s work is very effective in a sacred space and the juxtaposition of his passionate religious art in this beautiful medieval cathedral setting will be extraordinarily powerful.”

The cathedral welcomes visitors every day from 9am to 5pm. If visiting on a Sunday, recommended viewing times are from noon to 4pm.
