Choir concert to say thanks
9:22am Thursday 18th October 2012 in Entertainments
A SALISBURY choir is holding a special concert to say thank you to the Salvation Army.
The St John Singers rehearse in the Salvation Army Hall in Salt Lane every Monday, and to say thank you for the use of the hall the group is giving an informal concert on Monday at 7.30pm, which the Salvation Army Band will also take part in.
The concert will feature pieces by Bob Chilcott and John Rutter, both well-known English composers with associations to the St John Singers, and there will be a retiring collection for the Salvation Army.
The concert is free and audience members don’t need to book.
