It was a family affair at the Winchester Gate on Saturday when Phil Manning fronted the redoubtable post-punk industrial warhorse Newcombe and Roach whilst his son Alex played some storming bass with the experimental instrumental trio Poly Wrath.
The anarchic elder statesmen blew the audience away with a blitzkreig of shock and awe while the younger men found sonic beauty in the eye of the storm. Generation gap? What generation gap?
